Please note that pickups are postponed between 8/17-8/26 while eTech adjusts to the new semester. Bookings will open back up 8/26.

Request an Equipment Pickup

When your department has equipment ready for pickup, please notify eTech by completing the Item Pickup Form. After submitting the form, you will be automatically redirected to our Bookings page to schedule a pickup date and time that is convenient for your department.

Before You Submit Your Request

  • UA Tag Number: If your department purchased equipment with an original value greater than $10,000, it will likely have a UA asset tag. Because these items must be removed from the University’s central inventory system before disposal, it is important to include the UA tag number on the request form. In some cases, your department may also need to complete a University transaction form before the equipment can be picked up.
  • Consolidate Equipment: Whenever possible, place all equipment in a single pickup location. If that is not feasible, group the equipment into as few locations as possible. You may list multiple rooms on one request form; however, if the equipment is located in more than one building, a separate Item Pickup Form must be submitted for each building.
  • Room Access: If the equipment is stored in a room that is normally locked during business hours, please provide the name and phone number of a department contact who can grant access. We strongly recommend storing equipment in a location that is accessible to your department’s main office staff, as we cannot control the exact arrival time of BCAS Logistics.
  • Keep Equipment Secure: Do not place equipment in hallways or other unsecured areas. Please keep all items in a secure room until they have been picked up.
  • Special Instructions: If there are any special instructions regarding room access or the equipment being collected, please include them on the request form or contact us at ASLogistics@ua.edu.

Note: These guidelines apply only to Barefield College of Arts & Sciences faculty and staff.
